(JEFFERSON CITY, Missouri /September 1, 2015) – Dorothy Henke, Director of Environmental Services at Brooking Park, a senior community in the St. Andrew’s Resources for Seniors System family, received the 2015 Employee of the Year Award from LeadingAge Missouri. The award was presented during the organization’s annual conference in St. Louis, Missouri.
This award is presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the mission and philosophy of a LeadingAge Missouri member and has demonstrated unusual commitment to preserve the dignity, well-being, and independence of older Missourians.
Since joining Brooking Park in 1997, Henke has implemented a variety of programs such as pet therapy, concierge services, and community safety fairs involving the local fire department.
She has also been instrumental in developing departmental protocols to help with Brooking Park’s growth, which has doubled in size since she first started. She implemented the universal worker concept in the Memory Care household, and she established a tiered schedule to accommodate individualized services.
“We are so grateful to have Dorothy as part of our team,” said Susan McClenahan, Executive Director of Brooking Park. “Our residents and administrators trust, rely, and appreciate the hard work, commitment, and dedication Dorothy gives to us.”
Henke looks forward to meeting future challenges as the community prepares for their upcoming expansion.
